August 2021

August is here and gone!  When did that happen?  We had a great month.

My girlfriends from the mid 90s, Robin and Kelly.  We get together about once a year and it's always fantastic to see them!

Grabbed a couple of photos of sleeping dogs in Dad's lap.

Remy, age 3

Bailey, age 7

Before Brennan headed back to school, we had a fun Sunday afternoon in Indy - lunch and axe throwing!

We went in with our friends John and Ginger to purchase a case of Georgia peaches from the Peach Truck.  We ate several but froze the majority.  So yummy.

And we moved Brennan into his first apartment!  He picked out some great furniture - only a portion of it has been delivered so far, hopefully by mid October it will all arrive.  He has a nice set up with a short walk to campus.  It definitely beats last year's dorm during COVID!

David and I enjoyed one of the many Bicentennial events going on this year.  Lots of displays at the Pump House where we joined our friends to walk through the event and then have lunch out on the patio.

While Remy is initially nervous around everyone who comes to the house, he absolutely adores Brittany.  So when she comes over to podcast with us, he goes straight to her and doesn't let go :)

David and I were matching heading out to Jayne and Charlie's for book club!

Jayne and Charlie outdid themselves for our "Where the Crawdads Sing" discussion (postponed 18 months due to COVID).

We had a pitch in shrimp boil!  It was amazing!

We had so much fun this summer watching "College Bowl" with host Peyton Manning and big brother Cooper Manning.  Of course we were watching Ellie DOMINATE as Auburn's team captain.  They made it to the semifinals and they did just an awesome job.  It was a great show, but seeing Eleanor Covington on the big screen (and a shout of from mom, dad, and little brother too), made it way more special.  So proud of you Ellie!

And now, Happy Fall Y'all!
