January 2018

Here are some of the highlights from January!

Thomas started his last semester of senior year!

I took this photo in Santorini and had it printed on metal to put on the bookcases in the living room.  Not bad for an iPhone photo!

Bianca hosted the Litwits and as always, she treated us to a feast.  The fondues were amazing!

Icicles in winter.  So pretty!

We attended the Ivy Tech Foundation Dueling Pianos event with key members of Kelly's campaign.  It was a really fun night with Jason, Tammy, Kelly, Scott, Charlie, David, and Jayne.

And then here we are at Scott's 50th birthday surprise party.  What a night!

And Brennan turned 16!!
He was fascinated by all the potted succulents when we were in Greece so he put these little pots on his Christmas wish list.  I arranged a birthday succulent potting "class" with Gina at Pomp & Bloom the day before THEIR birthdays on January 18th.  The succulents are adorable.

We took Brennan for a couple of nights on the town.  Here we are at Rick's CafĂ© Boatyard.  We also went to his favorite Italian spot - Buca di Beppo in downtown Indy

Brennan also put "squid ink pasta" on his Christmas list and Jeanne came through.  He made it with a oil and garlic sauce for his actual birthday.

Donna created a fun gift that unrolled through a box.  It stretched the length of the house!

Please don't worry.  Bailey had plenty of love in January.
Here he's resting with Dad as we watch Jeopardy with the boys.

And again, resting with Dad.

Wondering why I'm going to work.  AGAIN.

Snuggling with the boys before bed.

Selfies with Mom

Trying to give Mom kisses

Official 4th birthday pose

Before Thomas left for work one weekend morning

This isn't Bailey - a much bigger version.  This is Miles, my buddy at work
He's the resident dog of Hotel Indigo where I am 36 weeks/year for orientation.
Here he's hoping someone in the kitchen has a treat when they exit.

Brennan's handbell choir played beautiful music for us one morning.

And we served a mountain of pasta and breadsticks to the youth one Sunday night!

Greece 2017 Part 4

Santorini!

"The Greek Ruins" and "Santorini" have been at the top of my travel wish list for years.  I was thrilled that we got to see both on this trip.  Because the tourist season was over, the speed ferries were no longer running so we took the typical ferry.  Santorini is one of 1500 Greek islands and our ferry ride was 8 hours.  It was very comfortable though and we had great people to talk to when we weren't napping, reading, listening to podcasts or doing math with Brennan :)

Prepare to be overwhelmed with photos, but there were so many great shots to choose from!

The ferry ride around the Greek islands.

Views of Firostefani where we stayed

Oia (ee-ah) - shopping and beautiful scenery

See the donkeys?  They work in the off-season helping with construction.

Traffic jam. I was running late to meet David and Brennan for the next part of our tour.

We went on a winery tour where Brennan got to sample.  We bought a couple of bottles of vinosanto - produced only on Santorini.

Sights on the walk from Firostefani to Firo for lunch

My last Greece photo.  Thomas walking to our gorgeous resort overlooking the other 4 islands that make up Santorini.  What an amazing trip.  I especially loved that the boys were with us.  Happy 25th to us!
