July 2019

Hello, and how is it already August?!  Here are a few photos from our very fun July!

An early morning view of our downtown with our church steeple as the sun was coming up on July 1st.  Early morning is a good time for walks!

David and I had a wonderful trip to Montana over the long 4th of July weekend!  We missed the boys and the dogs, but they did great.

Montana was a new state for us both.  We went primarily to visit Glacier National Park, but we got to explore some of the communities in the area too including Whitefish, Kalispell, and Columbia Falls where we stayed.

We spent a lot of time touring Glacier on a Red Jammer where it was chilly and rainy on the 4th of July but still an awesome time exploring the Going to the Sun Road cutting across Glacier National Park.  We got to do a lot of sightseeing, hiking, and eating out as well.  A great vacation!!

We celebrated one year with Remy as well in July!  Our sweet baby boy.

Lots of walks during July.  This one to a playground / park where we used to take Thomas and Brennan!

And we continued hiking at Brown County State Park on the weekends.  Brennan joined us recently and we took a picnic.

It's hard to believe but Brennan's about to start his senior year of high school!  We got his schedule sorted out so he can continue his after school job and leave a little early.  He's got a tough schedule including an advanced college math course.  But he's going to have a great year!

And we went last night to have his senior portraits taken.  Senior year is really here!

Hope you're having a great summer!

June 2019

June 2019 was such a great month!  We celebrated our company's 100 year anniversary, celebrated Thomas's 19th birthday, and had some fun with friends along the way!

Our evening book club, the Litwits, went to a new restaurant in town for our discussion of "Sum It Up" by Pat Summit.  A great book and wonderful food.  Here are the ladies with the chef/owner.

We attended Megna's graduation party.  The kids were tiny toddlers together when we lived in Mexico!

Brennan and the youth group hosted a pancake breakfast fundraiser at church to raise money for their June mission trip.  The pancakes were very tasty.

We got together with our Naples crew (and husbands) for a special thank you to Karen and Jeff.

We took David out for an early Father's Day brunch since they would be traveling to New Mexico on Father's Day.

Then David and I had quite the adventure for our company's 100th anniversary.  We flew out to Portland to pick up the family of one of our founders.  There were more than 100 extended family members in attendance.  It was a great event, and they had an awesome family reunion after the event.

We celebrated a fantastic event (despite the rain!) with Chipotle.  Which the dogs were very interested in.

David and I Brennan attended our church's high school mission trip, spending time at the Presbyterian center at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico.  In addition to a lot of work, they got in a lot of hikes in this beautiful part of the country!

They had a terrific experience and I'm so glad they got to go.  While they were away, the Bretheims came to Indiana!  Shelly, Natalie, Danielle, and Natalie's friend Rachel came to visit.  We had a very full time with them!

Here we are having yogurt for dinner :)

We went to the zoo, which I loved!  We saw "Toy Story 4" and went to Cake Bake too.  It was a fun day in Indy.

We always have to make time for Zaharako's when we have visitors.  Brennan met us there for lunch after work.  (His internship is going really well!  He designed a mobile app this week!)

We also make time to play Celebrity.  I made the game, and if I do say so, it's great for all ages. :)

Thomas turned 19!!  He chose to celebrate with cupcakes, gifts, and a trip to Pho Shiki, one of his favorite local restaurants.  He also had a couple of fun days with friends to celebrate.

And David and I finished off the month with a trip to Story Inn with our wine club.  We sat out on the summer garden patio, listened to live music, and enjoyed our friends and the sunshine.

Now it's July!  Hope you're having a great summer!
