Every year I like to help out Santa by adding a few things to Thomas and Brennan's stockings. The trouble is, the boys have outgrown some of the stocking stuffers I used to pick up.
I used to get bath supplies but now my big boys only take showers and don't really need bubble bath, bath paints, etc. I also would get Arch cards from McDonalds - great for the trip to Mississippi where we stopped for fast food often. Well, my quasi-vegetarians no longer eat McD's so that's out.
This year I did some online searches for good stocking stuffer ideas and came up with a ton of suggestions. Thought I'd pass some along! PLEASE ADD YOUR SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS!

And just so you know, somehow candy always ends up in the stockings as well. But, Mommy and Daddy also add a new toothbrush and toothpaste to the loot!

Great ideas for stocking stuffers! We always get an orange in the toe of our stocking... my little one always ends up with stickers and itty-bitty ornaments.
As for the 'perfectly round' circles on my ornaments, it's just a figment of your imagination! I use a tiny paint brush, press down hard in the middle so the bristles fan out, and just twirl the paintbrush until it makes a circle. Make sense? I have a friend that uses these round little sponge-y type paintbrushes to make her circles. I'm also OCD, so...!!
Not sure if your boys are old enough for this yet, but USB drives (also called flash drives or jump drives) have become quite inexpensive these days.
And they probably wouldn't mind getting a $5 or $10 bill folded up into an origami Christmas tree (see http://www.net4tv.com/voice/story.cfm?storyid=3241)

Coloring books (that you print) of their favorite characters. There is a link to a great coloring books site on the link above; they have great Star Wars coloring pages, among other things!
For flashlights, you might want to look into the LED flashlights (Forever Flashlights). They do not require batteries or new bulbs, and they are waterproof as well. You just shake them for a few minutes and then they give light. We have these for emergenecies, but we let my children play with them, too, because we don't have to worry about the batteries wearing out!
Some people like to use the mini boxes of cereal with their fruit so that the children can eat something while they are opening stockings before waking their parents . . . :)
