June 2015

June was a very full month, and as always, any summer month is a favorite!

Last day of school!

Our last fundraiser for the Dominican Republic mission trip - a Dominican feast and educational presentation to the congregation.

Thomas spent 10 days in the Dominican Republic with our church - there were 25 total from our church.  He had a life-changing experience.

They worked really, really hard in the heat.  It was hot all day, all night, and the work was heavy and exhausting.  They loved it!  In addition, they led worship service a couple of times, led Vacation Bible School three afternoons, and worked at a medical mission.

We're so proud of him - he was incredible on the trip I am told.

Brennan was soooo excited to see him when he got back!

Our sweet neighbor and friend, Joan Able, taught us to make Korean egg rolls, beef, and vegetables.
It was such a fun experience.  Then Walt and David joined us and we had dinner together.

Brennan and I took his friends to the Indy Children's Museum and to see "Jurassic Park" over a long weekend.  They had a ball.

David and I took Brennan to Nashville for a week of math at Vanderbilt.  We made an architectural pit stop to see Robert A.M. Stern's Library.

Saying goodbye to Brennan at his dorm.

A Vanderbilt photo of their convocation on the first morning.

We loved celebrating Ginger's MBA with her at a fun cookout and swimming party.

And we signed up for the Indy HandleBar.  16 of us pedaling throughout downtown Indy on a gorgeous June night.  Here and David and Todd.

And if that wasn't enough for one week, we joined friends on the Indy Brew Bus to visit 4 micro breweries in Indy.  Such fun and the tour guide was very knowledgeable which made it a learning experience for all of us.

Thomas turned 15!

We celebrated with a pool party, Zaharako's for lunch

And Taku Japanese Steakhouse for dinner with friends

One afternoon of playing downtown Columbus

And it's always awesome when Kelly (next to me) is in town from Indy.  Robin, Kelly, and I have been getting together for a margarita for 20 years!

Can't forget the Bailey pictures from June.

While we were in Nashville, Bailey went to the sitter's - Ashely's house.  She takes the best photos of Bailey!
