It has been a great Senior Year for Brennan! He is enjoying some tough courses, including a math course through the University of Illinois. He's working hard in the Mobile App Development group in a corporate internship, he's serving as a Youth Deacon at our church and is a member of the Handbell Choir. He's working on his Senior Project and applying to colleges. He joined the math and environmental clubs at school and is working on a few things to prepare him socially for college next fall.
For all kids I know Senior Year is a crazy time, and for Brennan it is no different. But I really want to stop and reflect on what a journey Brennan has had over the last 17 years. Who knew when he was a 3 year old pre-schooler newly diagnosed (current diagnosis is Asperger's with Social Anxiety ) if he would be thriving in this way today. But he's exceeded everyone's expectations and is truly an incredible kid. We're very proud of our boy and the hard work it's taken to get here.
Here are a few of his senior portraits!
