Fall's Coming

Everyone in Indiana LOVES the fall.

Probably the gorgeous leaves.  And the cooler weather.  And the Fall Festivals at local farms with corn mazes, pumpkin carving, and hayrides.

Fall's just not my thing.  Probably because I know what's coming right after Fall - and it seems to last a really long time where we live.

I prefer summer and spring and am not sure that we really need the other two seasons.  Maybe just a couple of weeks each.

I always think Winter should be coming to a close once Christmas and New Years are behind us.  It's always a rude awakening when I realize there are MONTHS of it left!

This year is no different.  Now that school is in full-swing and we've scheduled the pool closing, I'm finally getting excited thinking about Fall.

For those of you who read my blog in email or a reader, I'm including our new blog banner for Fall.  It was fun going through all the photos of previous Falls thinking about what we have to look forward to, including a long weekend in Chicago.

I've been working on a Fall craft this week and if David is sweet and has time tonight to help me hang it up, I'll post it before we head out of town for Labor Day.

And the best part about Fall?  SEC Football!  Kick off this weekend!  Go Dawgs!

I feel the same way that you do. I LOVE spring and summer and I know that I would really enjoy fall more if I didn't know in the back of my mind that winter was just around the corner. I hate being cold.

I hate cold weather, but I love me some football!

I am a summertime girl and dread fall. I do like to see the beautiful foliage colors but I hate the mess. Around here we end up raking leaves from the beginning of October until the beginning of December. My mom thinks that fall is depressing. I am not depressed by it, I just like warm temperatures and I detest being cold. I do like fall decorations!
