I made a cute Valentine's Day topiary this weekend.
I am not all that creative, but I can follow directions for a cute project! I saw the idea here at the Idea Room.
I bought 1/3 yard of pink felt and cut out 3" circles. I used a coffee mug to make a cardboard template and it worked out really well.
I then folded the circles in half....
And then half again...
And then stuck a pin in the corner to adhere the felt ruffle to a styrofoam ball. Sorry for the blurry close-ups.
I got this cute pot at the Dollar Store. I think the topiary will work well for Valentine's Day or even Easter.
David bought a dowel rod and he and Brennan cut it for me. I painted it quickly and attached it to the styrofoam in the pot and to the topiary ball.
Added a bow, and done. I thought it turned out really cute. I had not planned to work on this project, but saw the pot at the Dollar Store and decided to go ahead and do it. I need to get some moss to cover the styrofoam in the flower pot, but otherwise it's done!
Edited to Add: I love the Lego Necklace at Kristen's site! Come on over to Works for Me Wednesday today for a lot of cute projects.

This project turned out so well! I might have to make one for a centerpiece. It would be great for when my husband and I dine at home by candlelight.
Topiaries are so pretty, and yours is beautiful!
You without doubt have a style all your own when it comes to creating these nice blog posts.
