The boys and I took a day trip to Louisville today.
The main reason for the visit was to catch up with our good friend, Jeanne.
Jeanne, where's your funny hat?
After shopping at World Market and Borders, we went to Lynn's Paradise Cafe - a restaurant that I read about in the May 2011 Southern Living. It looked like a fun local place to eat so we decided to try it out.
Lynn's didn't disappoint. As advertised, it was colorful, eclectic, and unique.
Thomas especially enjoyed this giant "horse toaster"
At noon the restaurant was packed. We found plenty to do to occupy our time until our name was called.
No, I didn't dress the boys like twins. They dress themselves these days.
It was a great visit with Jeanne - hope to do it again this summer!
On the way home we stopped by "Indiana's Oldest Herb Farm". What a treat!
We had a ball walking around the grounds with our little red wagon looking at all the plants and garden decorations.
Brennan didn't want to miss a thing.
I love the red brick on this building.
After a stop in the cafe for Worm Juice (gummy worms at the bottom),
vanilla tea and hummingbird cake,
we loaded up and headed home. I got 3 hostas, mint plants, and lemongrass for Mary.
Quite a fun start to summer for us!
