A Very Big Thing
On our way from the Upper Peninsula to the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, we drove by a Very Big Thing. In St. Ignace we saw a really big Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. We had to stop.
We climbed to the top of Castle Rock so we could see Lake Huron to the east.
Apparently there are many very big Pauls and Babes all throughout the U.S. We had never seen one up close!
Here we are behind them on our way up Castle Rock.
And the view of Lake Huron!
From the Book:
#57 - A Very Big Thing
In a big country, people think big: big houses, big cars, big meals, big...talking farm animals? All over this great big land, people have made it their goal to make the very biggest...something in the world. Because if a catsup bottle is good, doesn't it stand to reason that a giant castup bottle is better? At the very least, it's going to get your attention. As you explore, keep your eyes open for very big things. They're easy to spot: that's the point. How many can you find?
