Halloween 2011

First, I have to apologize for not having a photo of Thomas's costume.
He made it himself but it is on its last legs and no longer looks like he intended it to.
He was the Headless Horseman.
He did get to wear it to the Fall Ball at school on Friday evening.
And at church Sunday afternoon for a few minutes.
And for a few minutes yesterday.
He chose to hand out candy this year instead of walk the neighborhood.
He regrets that decision now and plans to Trick or Treat next year!

Despite the drama, we did have a fantastic Halloween with our friends, for the 8th year in a row!
It's quite the tradition with dinner, two parents handing out candy and two off with the trick or treating crowd.
Over the last 8 years our group of 5 boys has gotten older and older and we only had 2!!! trick or treating last night. Sad.

Brennan's on the end - he was a Ninja.
With Justin on the left as a Navy Seal.
Josh, Chris, and Thomas were in charge of candy-handing-out.

In addition to last night's fun, we attended our Youth Group's pumpkin carving party on Sunday afternoon.
The Youth helped the little ones carve and paint their pumpkins and held a bake sale to raise money for next summer's mission trips.

Our Associate Pastor found a favorite.

Brennan's is an homage to Super Mario Bros. (a video game series)

Thomas straddles the children's/youth line at our church so got to do both - helping the younger kids and making his own pumpkin!

A great time for all the kids!
