The Financial District

Our first night in New York City we decided to explore the Financial District where our hotel was.

We passed the Stock Exchange (or "Mecca" for David) each day on our way to the subway.  It was really cool.

One morning we walked by and rock music was blaring from the NYSE - unusual.  Then we noticed the Harley Davidson banners and realized they must have been there to ring the opening bell.

Harleys in front of the Stock Exchange.

Of course we had to see the Wall Street Bull.  Much bigger than I expected.

(see Brennan trying to get his fingers up to do rabbit ears behind Thomas?  I was too quick)

Founders Hall with statue of George Washington.  The spot where the statue is is where George Washington took the oath to become the President of the United States.

Trinity Church - my photo does not do it justice.  It's really impressive.
We remembered the church from "National Treasure."  We were reminded of lots of movies while walking through New York!

Cool sculpture in front of Trinity Church.  Thomas really likes city sculptures and took this photo.

The Trump Building

Mu$eum of Finance
Sadly (for David), we did not take time to tour the museum.

Breakfast at Tiffany's!

Looking for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the sewers

We really liked our hotel and the Financial District.
Behind the hotel was a group of restaurants with outdoor seating.  I think we ate there 3 nights after we toured the city!

I think most people who ate there walked straight over after work on Wall Street.

Loved Lower Manhattan!
